Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club Training Academy
Halligan Consulting Engineers were appointed by Bridgemere UK plc to provide Mechanical & Electrical consultancy services for the new academy training facility.
The development comprised of a two storey academy building adjacent to a full size indoor pitch.
Halligan Consulting Engineers assisted in the analysis of M&E services requirements with the Client, undertook the Part L/SBEM calculations, produced performance specifications, tender drawings and tender reviews, designed reviews with the contractors design team to ensure compliance with the Employers requirements documents, carried out site inspections and witness testing and commissioning prior to handover.
Wolverhampton City Council has a requirement for 10% of the buildings energy to be derived via a renewable source. During the Part L/SBEM calculation process we introduced an Air Source Heat Pump which acted as a pre-heat facility for the hot water services.
The mechanical services consisted of a gas fired central boiler plant serving both radiators and under floor heating. VRF heating and cooling, supply and extract ventilation, above ground drainage and hot and cold water services.
The electrical services consisted of small power, data, lighting, a fire alarm system, access control, CCTV system and lighting protection.
