Lightning Park, Huntingdon
Halligan Consulting Engineers (Halligans) was appointed by Trebor Developments to provide mechanical and electrical consultancy services for two industrial units at Lightning Park, Huntingdon.
The scheme comprises two units: one totalling 127,000sq ft which is pre let to DHL International, and a second speculative unit totalling 32,700 sq. ft.
Halligans produced performance specifications for all elements of the work for mechanical and electrical installations, with the detailed design undertaken by sub-contractors. This encompassed:
- Incoming mains supplies
- Low voltage switchgear
- Lighting
- Emergency lighting
- Small power
- Fire alarm installations
- External street lighting
- Lightning protection
- Heating and cooling
- Ventilation
- Gas services
- Hot and cold-water controls.
Halligans oversaw the design developed by the subcontractors, as well as conducting quality control of materials and installation. Upon completion of the works, Halligans witnessed the commissioning of all services and signed off on behalf of the client.
